As previously mentioned in Google's official blog:

"Today that number nearly doubled to more than 8 billion pages."

This gives us an answer for every possible anomaly of the system, and that includes the GoogleBot rare perfomance and the differences within the search results when a given query is sent. Anyway, this benefits everyone.
